Senior Manager Corporate Communications: Executive + Internal

This role will be responsible for supporting the Yellow Group corporate communications program. You will serve as a trusted counselor to executives in our portfolio, as we work to tell powerful stories about our brands to our internal audiences – building morale, articulating business changes and company-wide strategy, driving communications excellence, and building confidence and trust in leadership. We are looking for someone who excels at collaboration, is fiercely creative, a passionate storyteller, obsessed with delivering high-quality work, comfortable working autonomously with a high degree of ambiguity, and who truly loves our brands.

 

This role will report to the Senior Director, Communications and Change Management, you’ll be responsible for :

Support the internal communications program including editorial calendar, communications channels (email, intranet, video, Teams) internal events and content creation.
Consult with leadership on their communication and change management strategies.
Write and develop messaging around various topics, including company strategy, priorities, product launches, and announcements.
Identify opportunities to share organization milestones with the broader company audience.
Develop the strategy, overseeing planning and execution, and measure results of remote/in-person/hybrid organization-wide events (e.g., All Hands, Q&As, etc.).
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement consistent messaging across the organization.
Partner closely with other internal and external communications teams, as well as HR, to align on communication opportunities.
Provide proactive and reactive messaging that supports key initiatives and program rollouts.
Support external employer branding strategy both internally and externally, owning our LinkedIn strategy and supporting EVP goals with strategic content support.
Help drive employee engagement via a keen editorial eye and exceptional writing skills
Monitor, measure and report on communications programs to demonstrate impact and inform strategy.
Responsible for ongoing content creation including social, video and articles.

 

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an expert strategic communicator with exceptional organizational, leadership and change management skills to engage teams within a matrixed & hybrid organization.
You’ll have experience running engaging internal communications programs that cut through the noise and hold attention.
You’re creative and an excellent writer with a nose for news and a well-developed voice.

 

Desired Qualifications

7-10 years’ experience working with a leading retail brand or similarly matrixed consumer organization. Experience in public relations, branding and/or campaigns.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Corporate communications experience is required
Proven skills in the ability to develop sound marketing communication strategies and oversight of tactical implementation
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Sharepoint and Teams a plus)
Experience leading internal communications campaigns, programming, and events for a remote audience
Receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine is a requirement for this position, subject to applicable exemptions.
