(Reports to Design Director – Accessories)

We want you to… 

Coordinate and unify creative execution of product.  

Manage creative and technical development of product within merchandise assortment strategy.  

Research seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials and styling.  

Collaborate with Merchandising, Production and Technical Design to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity.  

Conduct fittings.  

Create design cards for first protos, including measurements and construction details.  

Develop materials with production and suppliers.  

Approval of submits.  

Provide design research, attend trade exhibitions, supervise product development process  

Oh, and by the way, you… 

4-5 years Design experience  

High taste level and creative ability  

Ability to manage, coach and develop others  

Working knowledge of jewelry construction, materials, and fit.  

Knowledge of seasonal silhouette and color trends  

Strong illustration/presentation skills  

Understanding of Madewell Brand, ability to implement into design  

Proven ability to research and apply market/fashion trend information  

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision  

Detail oriented, good follow through  

Strong organizational, communication and written skills  

Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel  

BA Fashion Design
