 Overview

The manager of IT Asset Management is responsible for administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function; Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization’s hardware and software. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifecycle.

The Manager IT Assets is responsible for evaluating, making recommendations on and choosing both hardware and software used throughout FrontDoor.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct subordinate personnel in their day-to-day tasks
Research equipment and software, make recommendations on and choose vendors, manufactures, product versions
Manages the entire hardware and software product lifecycle
Work with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to forecast and plan IT asset needs per year
Track, renew and manage hardware and software maintenance agreements and warranties
Maintain and manage vendor relationships
Maintains and monitors hardware/software inventory database to ensure compliance
Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
Procurement, receipt, inventory and provisioning of software and hardware
Performs technology research and routine administrative duties as requested
May include other duties as applied

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements : Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience in the field

Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role) :5+ years’ experience in Operations IT Support, 2+ years’ Asset Management Experience,2+ years’ IT Financial Planning/Tracking

Required Skills:

Possesses significant current technical knowledge of IT hardware and software. Proven track record of IT inventory management
Solves problems and makes business decisions independently, with the focus on cost reduction and customer focus
You are good at organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects by using appropriate methodologies and tools.
Ability to express thoughts and ideas to others both orally and in writing. Detailed documentation is a core must have skill.
Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity

Preferred Skills:

Functional experience with common ITAMs (JIRA Insight, Oomnitza, ServiceNow)
